This Christmas season the Hulala Girls help spread the holiday joy by donating our beautiful, hand-made plush dolls to the brave, young cancer patients at the Pajama Party organized at City of Hope.
It all started with the Desi Geestman Foundation, a volunteer organization headquartered in La Crescenta, CA. It serves the emotional and financial needs of young cancer children receiving treatment. The foundation receives referral from social workers at City of Hope and other Children Hospitals and offer special services such as lodging, transportation, medications not covered by insurance, nutritional needs, and wishes for these very special kids.
The foundation hosts an annual Holiday Pajama Party at City of Hope in Duarte, CA for pediatric cancer patients and their families. It's a festive event designed to get everyone into good spirits inspite of medical treatments patients may be undergoing. It's for the entire family -- parents and siblings, too, because all are affected when dealing with cancer. It's an evening of love, cheer, entertainment, and free gifts are given to every child -- even patient's brothers and sisters.
The Hulala Girls' dolls brought a lot of Hulala-Lava-Love and joy to our special friends! See for yourself!
Have a Hulala Merry Christmas and a fantastic-licious 2009!
